Rasmopolitan


Makes 1 cocktail
This fruity cocktail combines raspberry with the traditional flavors of a cosmopolitan.

1 o
unce (2 tablespoons) citrus-flavored vodka
1 o
unce (2 tablespoons) raspberry-flavored vodka
1/2 o
unce (1 tablespoon) Chambord
1 t
ablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1 t
ablespoon simple syrup (recipe below)
2 tablespoons cranberry juice
Raspberries, for garnish

F
ill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add vodkas, Chambord, lime juice, simple syrup, and cranberry juice. Shake or stir until well chilled. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with raspberries; serve.

Simple Syrup

Makes 1 1/3 cup
This syrup can be stored in the refrigerator indefinitely.

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Ice water for bath

n a small saucepan set over medium-high heat, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring mixture to a boil, and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar completely dissolves, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, and set over ice bath until room temperature. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
